I. Core Product Positioning and System Architecture
GE IS220YDOAS1A is a discrete output module (Discrete Output Pack) developed by GE for the Mark VIe control system. Its core positioning is as the interface between the control layer and the field execution layer. This module can be applied to industrial scenarios such as turbines, boilers, and auxiliary equipment, covering simple-cycle systems, combined-cycle systems, coal-fired boilers, nuclear power, and integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) installations.
II. Core Functions
Networked Electrical Interface
- Dual-Channel Ethernet Connection:GE IS220YDOAS1A features 2 RJ-45 ports, supporting 1 to 2 I/O Ethernet connections. This device provides dual communication paths between the control network and the terminal board.
- Soft-Start Power Supply:GE IS220YDOAS1A delivers a controlled power supply through a 3-pin power interface, preventing transient voltage spikes from affecting the system.
Relay Control and Feedback
- Multi-Relay Control:GE IS220YDOAS1A can control up to 12 electromagnetic relays.
- Feedback Monitoring:GE IS220YDOAS1A can receive feedback signals from the terminal board, enabling real-time verification of output status.

III. Module Structure and Working Principle
(1) Structural Components
General Processor Board:
The core control unit responsible for data processing, signal parsing, and communication management.
Acquisition Board:
Responsible for converting control commands from the processor board into electrical signals that drive the relays, while also collecting status feedback signals from the terminal board.
(2) Operating Principle
The working process of the IS220YDOAS1A revolves around a closed-loop system of "instruction reception - signal conversion - device driving - status feedback".
