Proximity: Refers to its ability to process signals from eddy current proximity probes, which are used to monitor relative vibration and position (such as shaft displacement or thermal growth) without making direct contact with the measured surface (typically the shaft).
Seismic: Refers to its ability to process signals from inertial seismic sensors (such as velocity sensors or accelerometers), used to monitor the absolute vibration of bearing housings or machine casings.
2.Multi-functional Monitoring Types
The 3500/42M 176449-02 offers programming each channel to be independently configured for one of the following monitoring types, providing the most suitable protection strategy for different measurement points:
Radial Vibration: Monitors the relative vibration of the shaft.
Thrust Position: Monitors axial displacement to prevent rubbing between rotating and stationary parts.
Differential Expansion: Monitors the thermal expansion difference between the rotor and the cylinder.
Acceleration/Velocity: Monitors the absolute vibration of the bearing housing.
Eccentricity: Monitors shaft bending at low speed or when stationary.
Absolute Shaft Vibration: Combines the signals from proximity probes and seismic sensors to synthesize the absolute vibration of the shaft.
REBAM (Rolling Element Bearing Analysis and Monitoring): A proprietary bearing energy monitoring technology that analyzes high-frequency acceleration signals to detect early-stage faults in rolling element bearings.
Circular Acceptance Zone Analysis: Provides holographic monitoring during the startup and shutdown of flexible rotors, preventing false alarms due to temporary imbalances.
