1. Precautions
During the thunderstorm season, if the lightning protection effect of the entire workshop power grid is not good, strong lightning strikes will cause the power grid to be unstable, and the thyristor module is prone to breakdown and fuse burnout, which is particularly serious on high-power DC speed regulators. Therefore, ensuring the stability of the power supply grid is the basic condition for the stable operation of DC speed regulation. If there is a strong thunderstorm or unstable power grid, it is best to temporarily stop using the equipment and put it back into use after the power grid is stable.
Since the start of the press is a heavy-load start, the motor cannot be started frequently, and the number of times is limited to no more than 4 times per hour. When the machine tool is powered off, the main motor must be stopped first, and the power supply can be cut off after the main motor stops steadily.
Only qualified personnel (with knowledge of rectifiers and understanding of the content of the provided information) can engage in the installation, startup, operation, troubleshooting or repair of rectifiers. After the power is disconnected, the absorption capacitor continues to carry dangerous voltage. For this reason, the rectifier must not be opened for at least 2 minutes after the rectifier is cut off. In order to avoid arcing and the irreversible losses caused by it, the rectifier must be thoroughly protected from dust inlets. According to the pollution level, dust and foreign objects, especially pollutants brought in by the cooling air flow, must be cleaned regularly, at least once a year. The rectifier must be cleaned with dry compressed air, with a maximum pressure of 1 bar.
2. Post-maintenance
1) Replacement of fans
The design service life of the fan bearing is 30,000 hours. In order to maintain the effectiveness of the thyristor equipment, it should be replaced in time when the service life expires.
2) Replacement of printed circuit boards
Printed circuit boards contain electrostatic sensitive components. Before touching a printed circuit board, the executive staff must discharge static electricity themselves. The easiest way to do this is to touch a conductive grounding conductor, such as the grounding wire of the socket.
3) Replacement of thyristor modules
The thyristor module is installed by self-tapping screws. When a module is replaced, the heat sink support surface must be cleaned and a new layer of thermal paste must be applied to the thyristor module. Use metric screws and fixings of the same length as the original to fix the module.
