The SPHSS13 Hydraulic Servo Module, an important component of the Bailey INFI 90 series launched by ABB, is dedicated to valve position control for key turbine applications such as steam turbines and gas turbines.

 

The core function of the SPHSS13 module is to precisely control the valve position. This module can work in coordination with the HR series controllers to drive servo valves or current/hydraulic (I/H) converters, thereby enabling precise manual or automatic control of hydraulic actuators.

From Instruction to Action: The Physical Implementer of Turbine Control

The SPHSS13 is essentially a valve position control module, such as controlling the opening of the main steam valve (throttle valve) and control valve; regulating the fuel valve, inlet guide vanes, and nozzle angles.

 

 

 

Intelligent Sensing and Closed-Loop Control

The Linear Variable Differential Transformer (LVDT) installed on the actuator monitors the actual position of the valve stem in real time and feeds the position signal back to the SPHSS13 module.
