ABB SPHSS13 Hydraulic Servo Module is an intelligent valve position control module and is a core drive component in turbine mechanical speed and load control systems. The SPHSS13 can automatically or manually control hydraulic actuators, provide an interface for HR series controllers, and drive servo valves or current/hydraulic (I/H) converters.
Note: The ABB SPHSS13 Hydraulic Servo Module is often used in conjunction with the SPTPS13 Speed Detection Module to form a turbine speed control system.

- Exhaust/Bypass Valve: Regulates the thermal cycle during startup, shutdown, or varying operating conditions.
- Main Steam Valve/Speed Control Valve: Controls the flow and pressure of steam entering the turbine, enabling speed and load regulation.
- Extraction Steam Control Valve: In combined heat and power (CHP) units, controls the pressure and flow of industrial or heating steam extraction.
- Centrifugal Compressor Surge Control Valve: Opens the surge control valve to protect the compressor from surge conditions.
