GE IS420UCSBH4A is equipped with a 1066 MHz Intel EP80579 microprocessor, offering more than a 75% increase in processing speed compared to the previous generation IS420UCSBH1A (600 MHz). Despite the significant performance boost, the peak power consumption increases only slightly to 28.7 W, with a rated power of 17.3 W.
This controller module supports SIL 2 and SIL 3 safety integrity level functions under IEC 61508 when used in a system architecture with the Mark VIeS UCSBSIA safety controller and safety I/O modules. This capability allows the module to be applied in Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), such as emergency shutdown (ESD) systems, fire and gas (F&G) protection systems, and critical process control loops.
The IS420UCSBH4A controller module is now available for order. Existing Mark VIe system users can upgrade after a technical evaluation. Sumset Ltd will provide comprehensive technical support and lifecycle services for this product.
