GE DS2020DACAG2-Power Conversion Module For The Mark V Turbine Control System

The DS2020DACAG2 is a power conversion module designed by General Electric for the Speedtronic Mark V gas/steam turbine control system. It performs two key functions:

1.Power conversion: Converts external AC power (VAC) into the DC power (VDC) required by the control system.

2.Power buffering: Provides short-term backup power during a brief main power outage, ensuring the control system does not experience a sudden power outage and enabling safe ride-through.

The module achieves this function in two ways:

1. Internal energy storage: The module integrates energy storage elements such as large-capacity capacitors, which can instantly release energy in the event of a power outage.

2. External battery support: The module supports the connection of an optional external battery pack. When the main power supply fails, the battery pack takes over the power supply, providing extended backup time (typically several minutes).

It is typically mounted at the bottom of the drive cabinet. It is secured using brackets and bolts at the four corners. The installation environment must be non-corrosive, non-flammable, and have good heat dissipation.

Key specifications include:

1.Input frequency: Supports 50Hz or 60Hz power grids, with a ±5% tolerance.

2.Conversion efficiency: Minimum 85%.

3.Cooling: Relies on natural convection or forced air cooling within the cabinet.

4.Connectors: Both input and output use screw terminals for connecting the AC power cord and DC output cables.
