
Overview
GE IS220PTURH1A is a Mark Vie series primary turbine specific trip board (PTB). It monitors the speed of the gas turbine and, when a dangerous overspeed is detected, issues a high-priority trip signal, shutting down the unit safely and protecting the turbine itself and surrounding personnel and equipment.
Note: IS220PTURH1A can be used for the control and protection systems of GE Frame 6B, 7E, 7F, 9E, 9FA series gas turbines and steam turbines.

- Primary Overspeed Trip Signal: The IS220PTURH1A board generates a primary overspeed trip signal for emergency shutdown by analyzing the speed signal from a magnetic sensor.
- Four Magnetic Speed Sensor Inputs: The IS220PTURH1A supports connecting up to four passive magnetic speed sensors (magnetoresistive sensors).
- Median Selection Logic: The IS220PTURH1A board uses a "median signal selection" algorithm to select the middle value from multiple sensor signals for speed control and overspeed protection.
- Auto-Reconfiguration: When a board is replaced, if this feature is enabled in the ToolboxST software, the new board automatically downloads all necessary configuration parameters and firmware from the Mark VIe controller upon power-up.

It is not a standalone module. It plugs vertically into a dedicated termination board, model TTURH1C. All power, sensor signals, and communications are connected to this termination board via the connector on the back of the board.
