Emerson A6500-UM Universal Measurement Card

Emerson A6500-UM universal measurement card serves as a key component of the AMS 6500 ATG (Online Monitoring and Protection) machinery protection system. The card performs signal acquisition and processing for rotating machinery. Critical parameters such as vibration, position, and rotational speed are measured, and data is uploaded to a host computer or analysis system via communication and analog interfaces. Installed in the A6500-SR system rack, the card provides data for machinery safety monitoring.

The A6500-UM card supports a variety of sensors, including eddy current sensors, piezoelectric sensors (accelerometers or velocity sensors), seismic sensors (electromagnetic type), low-frequency bearing vibration sensors, Hall effect sensors, and LVDTs (used in conjunction with the A6500-LC card).

Communication capability:

The A6500-UM card exchanges data with the A6500-CC communication card via the internal RS485 bus. The communication card converts the data to Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP/IP protocols.

I/O interfaces:

The A6500-UM card provides 2 sensor input channels (configurable for independent or combined use according to measurement mode), 5 digital inputs, and 6 digital outputs.
