Woodward A8516-040 Mechanical Governors For Steam Turbines
Overview
The Woodward A8516-040 is a mechanical hydraulic governor for industrial steam turbines with a clockwise drive shaft and a screw speed range of 4000-6000 rpm, with a 2° derate at 6050 rpm. The governor's 16 Nm (12 ft-lb) counterclockwise output shaft is connected to the turbine's regulating valve to control the turbine's inlet steam flow. Suitable for ATEX locations.

- Rated speed reduction: 2° at 6050 RPM (to ensure running stability)
- Drive shaft direction: clockwise (standard configuration)
- Output shaft direction: counterclockwise (torque 16N·m/12ft-lb)
2.Hydraulic power system:
- The speed regulator drive shaft drives the built-in oil pump, and the self-contained oil tank is equipped with a visual oil window for easy inspection of the oil level.
