Triconex 3008 Main Processor
Overview
Triconex 3008 main processor (MP) is the core control unit of Tricon v9.6 and above systems. It is equipped with 16MB DRAM and adopts triple module redundancy (TMR) architecture. In the Tricon system, each main chassis must be installed with three main processors of this model.
It can communicate with the I/O subsystem independently and execute the control program written by the user. At the same time, it provides computing and control support for key control systems through hardware voting mechanism.

Triconex 3008
- Independent operation: Each MP independently executes the control program and communicates with the I/O subsystem.
- Hardware voting (TriBus): The majority voting mechanism shields transient faults and ensures correct output.
- Fault recovery: Supports online hot-replace, and the system can automatically switch to a normal module.
- SOE function:Detect state changes (events) of discrete variables in each scan cycle.Record event status and precise timestamp (millisecond level).
