overview：
The 3500/50M Tachometer Module is part of the Bently Nevada 3500 Series Machinery Protection System. It is designed specifically to monitor the speed, rotor acceleration, and direction of rotating machinery such as motors, pumps, fans, and compressors. The module provides monitoring and alarm functions to ensure that machinery is operating within safe limits, helping to detect potential faults before they cause damage.
Fuctions & Features:
- Speed Monitoring and Setpoint Alarm: The Bently Nevada 3500/50M triggers this alarm when the speed exceeds or falls below a defined speed range.
- Zero Speed Notification: The Bently Nevada 3500/50M activates this alarm if the shaft stops rotating, indicating a possible stall.
- Reverse Rotation Notification: The Bently Nevada 3500/50M detects if the rotor is rotating in the opposite direction, which can be harmful to machinery and indicate an operational problem.
- Keyphasor Signal Output: The Bently Nevada 3500/50M module can output a conditioned keyphasor signal to the 3500 Rack backplane for synchronization with other monitoring modules. This eliminates the need for an additional keyphasor module, reducing hardware costs.
