ControlLogix Power Supply Module

Allen-Bradley 1756-PA72 is an AC input, DC output power supply module in the Rockwell Automation ControlLogix system series. It converts industrial AC power (85-265V AC) into pure DC power, providing the energy for the entire ControlLogix chassis and all modules within it (such as controllers, I/O modules, and communication modules).

Function & Features：

Centralized Rack Power Supply: The 1756-PA72 provides all regulated voltages required for operation for all modules within the ControlLogix chassis (such as input/output modules, processor modules, etc.), eliminating the need for separate power supplies for individual modules.

Limited Holdup Time: When the external input power fluctuates or is briefly interrupted, the 1756-PA72 power module's internal capacitors store a small amount of energy, maintaining the output voltage for a limited time (in milliseconds), providing a short "buffer" for the system.

Orderly Shutdown Signal: When the 1756-PA72 detects an input power failure that is impending output voltage failure, it sends a preemptive warning signal to all modules within the chassis, enabling the controller to execute an orderly shutdown procedure.
