GE IS420UCSBH1A is a UCSB controller module specially developed by General Electric (GE) for Mark VIe control system. UCSB controller is a computer that runs specific application control logic independently. It does not carry application I/O itself, but relies on the connected I/O network to obtain data input. This design ensures the robustness of system performance and can minimize downtime during maintenance. Even if the controller is powered off, data can continue to flow.

- Pre-installed Software: The GE IS420UCSBH1A controller comes pre-installed with application-specific software that is capable of executing control logic via ladder or block. Minor changes to the control software can be made online without restarting the system.

- Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) System: In a TMR system, the GE IS420UCSBH1A module supports data synchronization and state values for voting and redundancy across three controllers.
