ABB NIMP01 Processor terminal module
ABB NIMP01 Processor Terminal Module is an interface module used to connect the multifunction processor (MFP) to external devices. This module provides a channel for connecting to a serial interface and occupies one slot in the NTMU01 or NTMU02 terminal installation unit. The module not only supports communication between the MFP and devices such as computers, printers, and event sequence recorders, but also provides a connection for the serial communication link between the MFP and analog or digital control stations.
Function & Features：
- Communication Ports: The ABB NIMP01 is equipped with two isolated RS-232-C ports, one of which can be configured as a non-isolated RS-485 port via jumpers. The RS-232-C ports support both DCE and DTE operation modes, enabling communication with a variety of computers and communication devices.
- Control Station Communication Link: The ABB NIMP01 provides two serial communication links for analog and digital control stations through the NICS01 and NIDS01 terminal modules, enabling dialogue between the MFP and field control stations.
- Hardware Components: The ABB NIMP01, as a single printed circuit board, integrates RS-232-C/RS-485 line drivers/receivers, optocouplers, connector sockets, DB-9 connectors, LEDs, terminal blocks, jumpers, and fuses.
