PROFIBUS-DP Communication Module
Yokogawa ALP121-S00 is a PROFIBUS-DP master communication module for the CENTUM VP system. This module is installed on the I/O units (AFV30D/S, AFV40D/S) of the field control station (FCS), and can also be installed on the ESB bus node units (ANB10/ANB11) connected to the aforementioned control units.

- Master Communication: The ALP121-S00 is a standard PROFIBUS-DP master, which can exchange data with various compliant PROFIBUS-DP slave devices.
- Multi-device Access: The ALP121-S00 not only directly supports PROFIBUS-DP slaves but can also extend access to PROFIBUS-PA devices through a DP/PA coupler.
- Dual Redundant Communication: By installing one ALP121-S00 module in the odd-numbered slot and another in the adjacent even-numbered slot within the same node unit, a redundant configuration can be formed. The primary module is responsible for communication with the slave devices, while the backup module monitors the communication status of the primary module in real time.
