overview：
Modicon AS-B872-100 is an analog current output module designed by Schneider Electric for its Modicon PLC system. This module requires an external power supply to drive the analog device. When using the 1756-OF6CI analog output module, be careful to remove the external power supply of the current loop before powering it, otherwise the analog output module will be damaged.
The 1756-OF6CI module can drive up to 550 ohm loads using a standard pre-configured cable (1492-ACABLE003Y). If a larger driving current is required, the wiring can be modified to drive up to 1000 ohm loads. The B872-100 analog output module allows shield grounding at the field device or its "frame ground" terminal, and the pre-wired cable (1492-ACABLE003Y) between the 1492-CM800-LA003 and the 1756-OF6CI provides a shield grounding lug for grounding the shield at the 1756 ControlLogix chassis. This connection must be made.
Fuctions & Features:
- Providing 4 to 20 mA analog current output, it can convert digital signals in the PLC system into analog signals to drive various industrial equipment or sensors.
- Equipped with multiple output channels (such as 8 channels), it can process and output multiple signals at the same time, which is suitable for application scenarios that require multiple analog signals.
- The module allows the use of sink or source field wiring devices, and the 1756-OF6CI analog output provides source output.
