Triconex 8110 Main Chassis
Overview
Triconex 8110 Main Chassis is the omponent of the Tricon system. It is used to accommodate I/O modules and communication modules and is the first chassis of the system. To expand the system scale, you can add expansion chassis (models 8111 or 8121) and/or RXM chassis (model 8112). For specific configuration details, refer to the "System Configuration" section.
🚀Function & Features
- Physical Interface: Each chassis has 6 RS-485 I/O expansion bus ports on the upper left corner of the backplane, divided into three channels A, B, and C. Each channel group provides two sets of ports, forming two triple serial communication paths between chassis.
- Connection requirements: Each Triconex 8110 expansion chassis and the RXM chassis that accommodates the main RXM module group need to connect a set of cables. The standard cable set (model 9000) is 6 feet long, and longer cables can be provided upon request.
- Keyswitch for System Control: The main chassis is equipped with a four-position key switch that can control all chassis in the system. Its status can be read by the Tricon controller, TriStation 1131 software and control program.
