ICS TRIPLEX T9110 is an ICS processor with a battery backup for the processor module. When the system is powered off, the battery powers the internal real-time clock (RTC) and some volatile memory (RAM). The battery is supplied separately and inserted into a slot behind a removable cover on the front panel of the processor module.
Features include: power-off retention, which keeps the real-time clock running, stores variable data and processor diagnostic logs when power is off; the battery has a designed life of 10 years when powered continuously and up to 6 months when not powered, but high humidity, high temperature and frequent power outages will shorten the life; battery status monitoring and control is also possible, and variables can be set in the relevant software to report battery status and low voltage alarms, and a warning light is set on the front panel. Under certain circumstances, the battery failure alarm can also be disabled in the software.


Fuctions & Features:
- Power-off retention function: When the T9110 is completely powered off, the battery can maintain the real-time clock operation and power the RTC chip; store retained variable data. At the end of each application scan, the retained variable data is stored in the battery-backed part of the RAM and can be reloaded when the power is restored; save the processor diagnostic log and store it in the battery-backed RAM part.
- Design life characteristics: When the T9110 is continuously powered, the battery design life is 10 years; when not powered, the design life is up to 6 months. The design life is based on a constant temperature of 25°C and low humidity environment. High humidity, high temperature and frequent power cycles will shorten the battery life.
- Battery status monitoring and control: Variables can be set in the AADvance Workbench software or AADvance-Trusted SIS Workstation software to report battery status, issue an alarm when the voltage is low, and set a warning light on the processor front panel. For applications that do not require real-time clock functions or have specific restrictions (such as the controller is difficult to reach and the battery needs to be removed during installation), the battery failure alarm can be disabled in the above software.
