GE IS420UCSBH1A UCSB controller module is a controller module developed by General Electric (GE) for industrial automation control systems. The UCSB (Universal Control System Board) controller is a standalone computer dedicated to executing control system logic for a specific application. Unlike traditional controllers, the UCSB controller does not directly host any application I/O, but connects to all I/O modules through an I/O network (IONet), ensuring that the controller can obtain all input data.

- The UCSB controller is a standalone module with an internal power supply and no jumper settings required.
- The IS420UCSBH1A uses a 600 MHz Intel EP80579 microprocessor and is equipped with 256 MB DDR2 SDRAM memory with error correction code (ECC).
- The IS420UCSBH1A has an internal 2 GB NAND flash memory for storing firmware and application programs.
- The IS420UCSBH1A communicates with the I/O modules through the onboard I/O network (IONet) interface. IONet is a dedicated Ethernet network that only supports I/O modules and controllers of Mark control systems.
- The IS420UCSBH1A supports the IEEE 1588 protocol, ensuring that the clock synchronization accuracy of the I/O modules and controllers is within 100 microseconds.
- The IS420UCSBH1A controller is pre-installed with specific application software, which supports online modification of control logic (such as ladder diagrams or function blocks) without restarting the system.
