Foxboro FBM222(P0926TL) redundant PROFIBUS communication module serves as the communication interface between the Foxboro Evo control system and the I/A Series control system and PROFIBUS-DP/PA slave devices such as motor drives and I/O modules.The module is equipped with two PROFIBUS link ports. When repeaters are used, each port can connect up to 125 slave devices, and each single port supports full data transmission of up to 244 bytes.

  • In a single-network scenario, the FBM222 connects to the terminal assembly (TA) via the FBM228/FBM222 redundancy adapter (P0922RK), thereby interfacing with two network segments.

 

  • In redundant media scenarios, two terminal assemblies are connected via a dual-network redundancy adapter (P0926XM). The solution is also compatible with third-party redundant link modules, such as ABB RLM01 and Siemens OLM.

 

  • The FBM222 can synchronize the values and status of PROFIBUS-PA devices to I/A Series control blocks. the module also supports FBM223 terminal assemblies, allowing upgrades from FBM223 without any changes to the existing wiring.
